Wendy’s Gallery & Gifts

Originally from Massachusetts, Marie started painting over 50 years ago. Majored in Advertising Design at The New England School of Art in Boston, and went on to receive her BA from Bridgewater State College, MA. Marie also had the wonderful opportunity to study extensively with portrait artists, C. Mircarelli and R. Comier both from Boston.

Professionally Marie, worked many years in the advertising field. Her artwork has been exhibited in several galleries and shows in New England. Having moved South years ago her work continues to win awards in the area. She has won several awards from the Waterways Art Association show, awarded “Best in Show” 2010, 2^nd place 2012 Annual Shows, Brunswick Art Council, as well as The Associated Artists of Southport. Marie has two paintings that hang in the Bolivia Government Complex selected by the Waterway Art Association.

Marie’s paintings capture a slice of time around our lovely coastline home, where everyday scenes offer the viewers a ”one of a kind” piece of art to be viewed and treasured. Very few pieces are made into prints which make each painting a unique item.

“The Peaceful Beader” hails from Philadelphia, PA.  She moved to the beach 11 years ago and enjoys retirement and beading!  Linda was in retail management for over 45 years, and loves people.  You might have also seen her behind the desk helping Wendy out at the gallery with her smile and infectious laugh!  Not only does she bead, she is talented in sewing, embroidery and needlepoint etc.  She is self taught and has been beading for over 10 years.  She draws her inspiration from Artists throughout Europe and Asia as well as her personal designs.
